Half Marathon

My wife finished her first

half marathon today.

I am so proud of her!

She has been training for this

since last summer.

The race was in San Antonio

and it was HOT.

My job was to get the girl

and her three cousins to the finish line

and to then drink a couple beers.

I had an easy job.

Along with my wife,

her sister and brother-in-law

also ran and finished today.

What an achievement!

I had the opportunity to do a shoot

with some friends who have just been blessed

with a new baby girl.

She is a beautiful child

with a beautiful family.

The shoot was mostly done inside

owing to the unrelenting heat we've

 been experiencing here in central Texas.

Smena 8M Test Roll

A couple of weeks back

I ordered a Smena 8M from Russia.

It came in this week and I needed to

run a roll of film through it

to see how it worked.

Ogden Family Sneak Peek

Had a great morning last Sunday

with the Ogdens in Mayfield Park.

The shoot went great.

It is nice to work with artsy folks

for two reasons.

1. They rarely need to be told how to pose.

2.  Their propensity to do the unexpected.

this time with your family...

Action Sampler Camera

The girl has been asking for

a camera of her own.

She was insistent that it must have

more than one lens.

So we settled on the Action Sampler by Lomography.

35mm film, four shots in one second,

simple.

I shot a roll of film to test it out before

she goes crazy with it.

I think she'll have a good time.

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner

I got the opportunity to shoot a

wedding rehearsal dinner Friday night.

Certainly one of the more elaborate

and well hosted rehearsal dinners I've been to.

Great people, great scenery,

great Texas barbeque.
